H. Carr & Sons number one concern is for the safety and well being of its employees. Each employee receives hands-on training and goes through weekly safety audits. We follow OSHA guidelines, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training, and OSHA refresher courses every five years. This is a law in Connecticut but we also observe this practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island; even though it's not required. In addition, our foremen and future leaders attend bi-annual leadership trading so they are up to speed on what is going on in the industry.

Our Safety Coordinators oversee our jobs and on the job training. They are on site and walking the jobs and violations are discussed with our team members as a learning opportunity. H. Carr & Sons also educates and updates our employees with first aid training, fall protection, equipment training, and manufacturer training on tools being used in our workplace.

Our men and women know that a clean job is a safe job, and are prepared with all the necessary training and knowledge to allow them to go home the same way they came to work.
